Besides as a founder and partner of SAFE Law Firm, this partner is also the Managing Partner of SAFE Law Firm with specialization in constitutional law. This partner is a certified Legal Drafting Trainer from Institute of Public Administration, Indonesia in 2010. He has advocacy experience since 1997 as lawyer assistance of Jeremias Lemek, S.H. and Denny, Iwan & Nurung Law Firm in Yogyakarta. Satriawan is a jury for Constitutional Debate Competition and Debate Award held by the Constitutional Courts of Republic of Indonesia since 2009. During in 1997 to 2008, he handled various legal cases ranging from civil, criminal, and human rights. Then since 2009, Satriawan started to focus on handling constitutional cases, and human rights cases.
As a constitution lawyer, this partner has ranging experience as a lawyer in various election assistantships (Legislative Elections, Presidential Election, and Local Election) in Yogyakarta. As legal drafting trainer, he has conducted numerous training for the members of Regional House of Representatives and local government officials in several cities in Indonesia. For instance, he conducted training for members of Regional House of Representatives in Damasraya Regency, West Sumatera, Papua Province, Klaten Regency, and officials of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. He is Also the legal drafter for Proposed Regional Regulation of Regional House of Representatives, Yogyakarta Municipality.
As a constitutional lawyer, Satriawan has sufficient academic reputation to support his career. He is a lecturer of Constitutional Law, Procedural Law of Constitutional Court, and Human Rights subjects in Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta since 1999. He achieved his Bachelor of Law from Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia and then joined the Master Program of Comparative Laws in International Islamic University Malaysia with specialization in constitutional law and hold Doctoral Degree of Constitutional Law in Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws—International Islamic University Malaysia in 2016. In addition, Satriawan joined Human Rights Course in Strasbourg, France, July 2000, comparative studies, and presenter in various international conferences such as International Conference on Harmonization of Shariah and Civil Law in Kuala Lumpur (2003), The British International Seminar on Access to Justice: in the Lawyer’s Community in London (2004), International Conference on Sustainable Development in Kuala Lumpur (2006), International Conference on Multi-Sector Issues in Yogyakarta (2008), and International Conference on Justice in Asia in Japan (October, 2011).
